Does it cost anything to work with you?
No. Insurance carriers pay me a commission when a policy is issued, so my advice is free to you whether you enroll or not. Commission rates can differ between carriers and plans, and I will tell you how I am paid on any plan I recommend.
Which states are you licensed in?
Seventeen: Florida, Texas, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia. Every license number is on the states page. If you live elsewhere, SmartHealthMatch will match you with a licensed advisor for your state.
What is the difference between a Marketplace plan and a private plan?
Marketplace (ACA) plans are guaranteed issue, cover pre-existing conditions, and may come with a premium tax credit based on your income. Private plans are underwritten: the carrier looks at your health and can decline you, charge more, or exclude a condition, which is also why they can cost less for healthy households. They are not ACA coverage. I compare both so you can see which one actually fits.
Can I change my plan in the middle of the year?
Marketplace plans usually change only during open enrollment, which for 2027 coverage runs November 1, 2026 to January 15, 2027 (HealthCare.gov, checked September 14, 2026). A life event such as losing other coverage, getting married, moving, or having a baby opens a special enrollment period. Private plans take applications year-round, subject to approval. Call me and I will check what you qualify for right now.
How much does health insurance cost?
It depends on your age, county, household income, and the plan. Many people still qualify for a tax credit that lowers the monthly price a lot. The only honest answer is a quote for your actual household, which takes one call and costs nothing.
Do you help with dental, vision, and life insurance too?
Yes. Standalone dental and vision plans, and simple term life coverage, either alongside your health plan or on their own. See what I place.
How fast can I be covered?
The comparison and the application are built to fit in a single call. Marketplace start dates follow enrollment rules; private plans start on the date the carrier approves the application. I will tell you the earliest realistic date for your situation before you commit.
